In this paper,we studied the composite system of metal nanoparticle arrays coupled with semiconductor nanomaterials under the action of laser field. The metal nanoparticles could be polarized by external laser, and produce the surface plasmons. The metal nanoparticle polarized can be approximate to a dipole, and the dipole would create potential field. So the periodic repeated metal nanoparticle arrays polarized by laser field will generate a periodic potential field in space. And the carriers in the nanomaterials can couple with the potential field to form superlattice. Then,we studied the influence of different system parameters and the intensity of external electric field on the periodic potential field, the energy band structure, and the Landau-Zener tunneling. It has been found that the potential field and the electronic energy band structure are sensitive to the changes of nanoparticle interdistance and the intensity of the laser field in the composite system. And compared to the traditional superlattice, the system we proposed isn't difficult to produce, and it's system parameters are very easy to change. Therefore, the system can be a new platform to study the physical phenomena in the periodic potential field. Finally,we studied the two-dimensional metal nanoparticle array and the corresponding two-dimensional periodic potential field.
