Polyester has the advantages of high strength,wear resistance,heat resistance,wrinkle resistance and quick drying.Its excellent properties can be synthesized by blending with other chemical fibers or natural fibers.Polyester is a highly polymerized hydrophobic chemical fiber.It is usually dyed by high temperature and high pressure method.However,the high temperature and high pressure dyeing method has high equipment cost,high energy consumption,serious environmental pollution,and is not suitable for dyeing with protein fibers such as wool and silk.Although carrier dyeing can solve the problem of high temperature and high pressure dyeing,the traditional low temperature dyeing carriers such as O-phenylphenol and Holly oil have some problems such as high toxicity,heavy odor and easy residue.Therefore,it is particularly important to study a carrier with low toxicity,environmental protection and degradability,which can obviously promote dyeing of polyester and its blended fabrics under atmospheric pressure and low temperature.From aromatic esters and alcohols,monomers with obvious dyeing promoting effect were selected as carrier compound material in this paper.Ethyl Benzoate,Glycol Salicylate and Triethylene Glycol were mixed by the same method according to the mass ratio of 2.63:0.21:0.16.Surfactants were optimized by the same method.Carriers and Surfactants were compounded into colorless esters with the mass ratio of 3:1,which had good aroma,stability and good stability.Low temperature dyeing carrier EGTAS with acid and alkali resistance.By optimizing the mixing temperature and stirring time,the dyeing performance of EGTAS was improved.The dyeing percentage of disperse dyes on polyester fibers and K/S value of dyed fabrics were evaluated.The dyeing percentage could reach 68%and K/S value was more than 11 when the water bath was stirred at 50?for 20 min.The?maxax of 3g/L EGTAS disperse dye 2BLN dye solution was 618 nm,and the relationship between dye concentration and absorbance was in accordance with Lambert-Beer law.From this,the solubility of dye was calculated to be45.57 mg/L at 100?,which was 28 times higher than that without carrier.The pretreatment process and dyeing process were optimized by single factor test.The optimum process was determined as follows:pretreatment EGTAS mass concentration 5g/L,pretreatment temperature 77?,pretreatment time 10 min;The mass concentration of EGTAS is 1 g/L,the dyeing temperature is 95?,the dyeing time is 30 min,the reduction cleaning temperature is 70?is 5 min,the K/S value is 11.9,and the dyeing percentage is 79%.By comparing the lifting power,dyeing penetration,leveling and migration of disperse dyes,it was found that EGTAS could make K/S value reach 13.92,without obvious white core phenomenon.The dyeing standard deviation was 1.6%,and the migration index MI value was more than 30%.Compared with the thermal stability and breaking strength,the dyeing LAB value and color fastness were found to be consistent with the EGTAS Thermogravimetric Curve.The dyeing LAB value and color fastness were similar to those of high temperature and high pressure dyeing and methyl salicylate carrier dyeing.The dyeing temperature dropped from 130?to 95?,the radial breaking strength was 380.73 N and the L value was 64.41.EGTAS was applied to the dyeing of polyester/cotton and polyester/ammonia fabrics with K/S values of 3.42and 7.48,respectively.The effect of EGTAS on dyeing kinetics of polyester with disperse dyes was investigated.The results showed that the dyeing kinetics of t/Ct was linear with that of t at 95?.The dyeing kinetics accorded with the secondary adsorption kinetics.The equilibrium dyeing amount of dyes increased to 10.91 mg/g,the half-dyeing time shortened to 270 s,the diffusion coefficient increased to 0.83×10-14m2/s,and the diffusion activation energy decreased to 84.69 kJ/mol.For dyeing thermodynamics,EGTAS did not change the Nernst type adsorption isotherm curve of polyester,only reduced the partition coefficient to 0.06,increased the dyeing affinity to 8.54 kJ/mol,reduced the dyeing heat to-29.74 kJ/mol,and increased the absolute value of dyeing entropy to 36.44 J/mol·K,which indicated that EGTAS as a dyeing carrier was beneficial to diffusion,adsorption and dyeing.
