Fashion Expressions Of Traditional Folk Crafts Huangmei Cross-stitch In The Context Of Knitted Garments

Huangmei Cross-Stricth in Hubei Province is one of the earliest,most representative and most influential Cross-Stricth Arts in China,which bears the unremitting pursuit of beauty and art of the labouring people in Huangmei County for thousands of years.In 2006,Huangmei Cross-Stricth became one of the first batch of folk handicrafts included in the national intangible cultural heritage list.From the perspective of intangible cultural heritage,Huangmei Cross-Stricth is undoubtedly the culmination in the process of development of ancient cross-stricth art.In recent years,with the rapid development of the knitting industry,people's demand for knitted clothing has not only remained on practicality,but also more the pursuit of beauty and graphic sense.It has become an important measure for the garment industry to realize innovative development to combine traditional folk handicraft with modern aesthetic needs.To this end,this study takes the inheritance of folk intangible cultural heritage handicraft as the background,and Huangmei Cross-Stricth as a case to deeply discuss the application method of Huangmei Cross-Stricth in knitting clothing design,so as to promote the inheritance and development of Huangmei Cross-Stricth while adding profound cultural connotation to it.
