Research on reducing or reducing the pulverization of comminuted product particles has been ongoing for decades, and the research has continued to receive much attention. The causes of over-grinding include the intrinsic properties of minerals,as well as mechanical and operational factors. In this paper, the mechanical and operational factors are fixed, from five grinding mineral sizes of two pure minerals and one actual mineral, tested with four input energies, through particle size distribution curve, fineness characteristics, energy consumption characteristics and model fitting.Analyze and compare to illustrate the effect of particle size on grinding. The main conclusions of this paper are:?1?For minerals with smaller grinding particle size, the larger the A*b value, the t10 value will increase with the grinding particle size decreasing; The larger the specific energy, the higher the t10 value;when grinding to the same fineness,as the feed size decreases, the A*b value increases and the required energy decreases. For the other type of grinding, the smaller the particle size, the smaller the A*b value, which is exactly the opposite of the above rule.?2?Comparison of two minerals, the same input particle size, the larger the A*b value, the larger the t10 value, the better the grinding effect;the same particle size is ground to the same fineness, the larger the A*b value,The energy consumed is also smaller.?3?Under the same specific energy, the 30mm steel ball has better grinding effect than the 20mm steel ball. For the same particle size, the t10value of a 30mm steel ball mill product is greater than 20mm steel balls. As the particle size of the grinding decreases, the difference between the t10 values of the minerals with increased A*b values is also increasing;the difference between the t10values of minerals with reduced A*b values is also getting smaller and smaller..?4?Compared with the JK breakage model and the JK size-dependent breakage model of pure minerals and actual minerals,it can be found that the JK size-dependent breakage model based on particle size variation has a better fit than the JK breakage model comparison energy and t10 value.
