Research On The Influence Of Social Capital On Residents' Environmental Consciousness

The behavior of the individual is caused by the behavior intention,the behavior intention is determined by the individual's attitude to the behavior and the two factors of the subjective norm about the behavior.Environmental awareness determines the environmental behavior,and the environmental sustainability reflects the individual's environmental protection consciousness.Environmental awareness is the red line of environmental protection for sustainable development.At present,it is one of the important tasks in Gansu to improve the ecological environment,and how to change people's weak environment awareness,how to improve people's environmental literacy,how to set up the idea of green development and speed up the process of ecological civilization in Gansu province.In general,environmental protection items,engineering or measures,more after the occurrence of environmental problems to the environmental impact of the timely remediation and repair,but in advance of environmental protection awareness of the cultivation of attention is not enough,or not timely.To carry out the research on the residents' environmental awareness in Gansu province,to explore the influence of social capital on the environmental awareness,to promote the residents' environmental literacy,to promote the concept of green development,and to promote the protection of the ecological environment in Gansu province.Improving the level of ecological civilization has important strategic and practical significance.Taking 47 counties of Gansu Province as an example,this paper analyzes the influence of social capital on residents' environmental awareness and quantifies the degree of influence of social capital on residents' environmental awareness.Through the resident questionnaire survey in 14 cities / states of Gansu province,the data of 47 counties were obtained,and then the comprehensive social capital index of each interviewee was calculated by the factor analysis method based on the principal component analysis(PCA)model.Then,through the four explicit variables of environmental knowledge,environmental assessment,environmental behavior and environmental concern,this paper measures and analyzes the potential category variable of residents' environmental consciousness,and describes the status and characteristics of residents' environmental consciousness in the study area.Then,taking the individual character as the control variable,using the order logistic regression analysis,the quantitative social capital plays an important role in improving the environment consciousness of the residents,and the relevant countermeasures and suggestions are put forward in combination with the research work and the analysis result of this paper.In this paper,the following main conclusions are drawn:(1)Using the potential category model,the environmental consciousness of the residents in Gansu can be divided into three categories:high environmental awareness,medium environmental awareness and low environmental awareness;and the overall environmental awareness of the residents in Gansu is at a relatively low level.(2)From the characteristics of the individual,the income and the health status have a positive effect on the residents' environmental consciousness,the environmental awareness level of the farmers is slightly weaker than that of the urban residents,and the awareness of the environmental awareness is inconsistent.The higher the degree of education,the higher the level of environmental knowledge,but the environment-friendly behavior is not necessarily the better;the influence of age on the environmental awareness of the population is a structural difference,in the whole,the environmental awareness of post-2000 s generation and post-90 s generation is relatively high,they can spontaneously achieve some environmentally sustainable behaviors.(3)Social capital has a significant positive impact on residents' environmental awareness,the change of a unit of social capital composite index,The rate of increasing the residents' environmental awareness at a higher level is 0.024 times higher.Social capital can promote environmental protection by raising residents' environmental awareness.In terms of urban sustainable planning,decision-makers,in addition to strengthening environmental education and environmental knowledge dissemination,Adopting appropriate measures to improve the social capital at the collective and individual levels is an effective way to raise the residents' environmental awareness and achieve the goal of environmental protection.This paper proves that strengthening social capital is an effective way to improve residents' environmental awareness.Through the improvement of social capital,the level of residents' environmental awareness can be improved,so that people can spontaneously take environmentally sustainable behavior to protect the environment.Individual
