The Research On The Issue Of The Awareness Of Environmental Protection Within China's New Rural Construction

Environmental awareness is the base of environmental protection ideology. It represents people's understanding of environment and environmental protection. It makes better people's economic activities and social behaviour and coordinates the relationship between human and nature. People's environmental awareness is closely connected with native environment. In this paper we research environment awareness of people in the today rural areas.Firstly,the paper discusses the concept of environmental awareness,its origin and development.Its theoretical and practical significance in current china rural areas are analysed also. The paper studys the relationship between environment degeneration going with rural construction and people's environmental awareness in rural areas today. It is important that strengthen environmental awareness of people in the today rural areas based on the guideline that be good at both developing economic and protecting environment.Secondly, according to questionaires which surveyed three representative rural areas ,the paper analyses the present situation of environmental awareness in rural areas, gives a kind of evaluation standard and method,then makes a judgement of the environmental awareness in today rural areas.This survey makes the paper scientific.In this section,the paper pays attention on the causes of general lack of environmental awareness.Thirdly, about the strategies to raise the awareness of protecting environment,the paper suggests that there is still a general lack of environment awareness in china rural areas today.To increase people's environment awareness,the following solutions is necessary: improving people's cultural level;giving wide publicity and education to environmental protection;strengthening governmental functional department and improving environmental protection laws and regulations and so on.Finally, in the end of the paper, a systematic summary is made about the achievements and deficiencies of the study;the further study of environmental awareness in rural areas today is looked forward,too.
