In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,while China's economy has achieved tremendous development,it has paid more attention to the coordinated and sustainable development of regional economy and ecological environment. The ecological environment is the place and material bearer of human economic activities. It can provide the necessary resource base and environmental foundation for economic development. The healthy and orderly development of the economy is conducive to environmental governance and improvement. As one of the less developed regions,Xinjiang is affected by unique natural conditions, and the contradiction between ecology and economy is very prominent. The economic circle of the Tarim Basin is a geographically highly overlapping area of ecological fragility and economic poverty. This unfavorable coupling severely restricts its healthy economic development. The Ring Tarim Basin is characterized by ethnic complexity, borderline, poverty and ecological vulnerability. The sustainable development of its economy and ecological environment can be of reference to the whole province and the whole country. Therefore,it is urgent to carry out research on the coordination of ecological environment and regional economic development in underdeveloped areas and explore how to realize the coordinated development of economic development and ecological construction in underdeveloped areas. This thesis takes the Tarim Basin Economic Circle in Xinjiang as the research object.Based on the analysis of u the underdeveloped areas, the economic circle of the Tarim Basin and the coupling coordination degree, and analyzes related theories such as sustainable development theory, coordinated development theory and ecological economic theory. This thesis uses ecological vulnerability assessment, coupling relationship analysis and grey relational analysis model to quantitatively analyze the ecological vulnerability, coupling relationship and influencing factors of the Tarim Basin Economic Circle from 2007 to 2017.It mainly includes:(1)By constructing the index system of four factors of natural factors, environmental resources, economic development and social development, using the entropy weight TOPSIS model to evaluate the ecological vulnerability of the Tarim Basin Economic Circle, and discovering the overall ecological vulnerability of the Tarim Basin Economic Circle. The trend of increasing first and then decreasing, and the trend of spatial distribution decreasing from south to north.(2)By constructing the coupling and coordination index system of regional economic system and regional ecological environment system, using the coupling degree and coupling coordination degree model,it is found that from the time point of view, the ecological coupling degree of the Tarim Basin economic circle shows a trend of “rise-down-rise”.From a spatial perspective, the ecological coupling degree of the economic circle of the Tarim Basin is from north to south, and the trend of “mild imbalance-primary coordination-intermediate coordination”.(3)Using the grey relational analysis model to study the key factors affecting the coordinated development of the ecological environment and regional economy of the Tarim Basin. The results show that per capita GDP,industrial structure, household consumption, factory pollution emissions, and total water resources are the main influencing factors. Finally,on the basis of the study the key factors affecting the coordinated development of the ecological environment and regional economy of the Tarim Basin, and suggestions for optimizing industrial structure, strengthening government supervision, developing characteristic agriculture, and improving ecological environment protection are proposed.
