Buddhist figure jade has important research significance as the product of foreign Buddhist culture and Chinese jade culture.Buddhism and Chinese native Confucianism and Taoism have developed a relationship since the Han Dynasty spread to China.As it presented a different level of Sinicization in different historical periods,Buddhist figure jade presents different modeling features and carving characteristics in different times which reflects the change of politics,economy,culture and people's aesthetic concept in ancient Chinese society.The paper makes a systematic study on the modeling,dress and technological characteristics of Buddhist figure jade and the evolution relationship between Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism on the basis of jade culture by reading a large number of literature,picture materials and the investigation of museum artifacts.First of all,the development of Buddhist figure jade is divided into three stages,the period of rapid development between Han dynasty and southern and Northern dynasty,the heyday stage of Sui and Tang dynasties,and the stage of secularization development in the song,Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties.In the rapid development stage,the Buddhist figure jade is mainly manifested by transforming from the Indian and Greek style of Gandhara imaging characteristics to the Chinese style of the Xiu Qing image style characteristics.The carving style of this period of Buddhist figure jade is rustic.Buddhism ushered in the heyday of China's development in the Sui and Tang dynasties through the rapid development of the southern and Northern dynasty,and Buddhist art had also been prosperous as a result.In terms of the unearthed jade category,most of the jade in this period is that of Buddhist theme.Buddhist figure jade impacted by the social aesthetic style presented the characteristics of splendid,magnificent imaging.It is characterized by superb carving technology,exquisite figure and vivid characters.Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism gradually moved towards integration under the vigorous promotion of the ruling class,and the process of Sinicization of Buddhism was basically completed.The confluence of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism was basically formed in the Song Dynasty,forming a cultural pattern with Confucianism as the main and Buddhist Taoism as the supplement.At the same time,the religious weakening of Buddhism showed the characteristics of nationalization and secularization.The shape,clothing of Buddhist figure jade was very similar with real life people,which possessed a strong folk flavor.During the Ming and Qing dynasties,the interest and freedom of Buddhist figure jade increased.In addition,the carving process set the great process of the past dynasties,showing characteristics of exquisite and decorative beauty.During the Ming and Qing dynasties,the process of Buddhist secularization was basically completed and became an important organic part of Chinese culture.The paper probes into the transformation relationship between the form of social environment and the art characteristics of Buddhist figure jade,and excavates the cultural,social and historical value of Buddhist figure jade by studying.For this reason,the cultural connotation of Buddhism has been extended and the reference value for the development of contemporary jade culture has been provided.Chinese culture shows a broad mind and strong absorption and assimilation ability in the process of the Sinicization of Buddhism.The development of Buddhist culture in China has enriched the development of Chinese sculpture,calligraphy and painting,songs and other fields.The Aesthetic significance of Buddhism provides a new design concept for contemporary jewelry design.Works ?Natural? and ?Gladden? combining contemporary design language are designed to pass on traditional Chinese culture.
