Peelable detergent is used to remove radioactive contaminants on the surface of nuclear-related scene.After the peelable detergent is coated on the surface of the polluted object,the detergent can react with the contaminant surface by physical and chemical function.Finally,the decontamination goal can be achieved by debonding the film of the contaminant.This decontamination technology has the advantages of simple construction,less waste treatment and remarkable decontamination effect.It is an economical decontamination method and has become a hot spot in the research of radioactive decontamination of surface.It is found that the viscosity of peelable detergent is generally proportional to its solid content(polymer substrate).In practical decontamination operation,in order to ensure the implementation of spraying process and film thickness after drying to achieve certain requirements,conducive to peel off the operation of the film.The peelable detergent is required to have a higher solid content at lower viscosity.Therefore,this paper is focus on preparing a peelable detergent which has a high solid content at low viscosity..By grafting vinyl acetate,butyl acrylic acid and acrylic acid onto polyvinyl alcohol,the number of hydroxyl groups in polyvinyl alcohol molecule is reduced and the solubility of polyvinyl alcohol in water is improved.This is beneficial to increase the solid content of the peeled decontamination agent based on polyvinyl alcohol,and also to improve the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the peeled decontamination agent based on polyvinyl alcohol.In this paper,the possible polymerization mechanism of polyvinyl alcohol with three kinds of monomers was discussed.The effects of different amounts of vinyl acetate(VAc),Butyl Acrylate(BA)on the solid content,viscosity,mechanical properties and particle size of the polymer were investigated.The polymer was also characterized by IR and ~1H NMR.Finally,the decontamination effect of decontamination agent on the surface of different decontamination substrate was studied.Through IR and ~1H NMR analysis,three monomers were copolymerized with polyvinyl alcohol.The optimum dosage of three modified monomers,namely BA=8 wt%,VAc=10 wt%,was obtained by measuring the viscosity and solid content as well as the mechanical properties of the polymerized film.At the same time,the effect of different content of butyl acrylate and vinyl acetate on the particle size of decontamination agent was also investigated.The results showed that the average particle size of the detergent was less than 100nm,by the influence of polyvinyl alcohol as decontamination substrate.By modifying the peeling decontamination agent based on polyvinyl alcohol,the solid content of the peeling decontamination agent is more than 30%.The optimum amount of peeling decontamination agent on different substrate(glass,cement floor,stainless steel)is also investigated in this paper.Desktop)surface decontamination efficiency,decontamination efficiency has reached more than 90%.In this paper,vinyl acetate,butylacrylic acid and acrylic acid were used as reaction monomers to obtain a peeling decontamination agent with high solid content and low viscosity.The structure of the emulsion was characterized by IR and ~1H NMR characterization.The results showed that there was a polymerization reaction among the three monomers.At the same time,the effects of different monomers on the solid content,viscosity and mechanical properties of the emulsion were investigated,and the optimum ratio of the three monomers(i.e.BA:AA:VAc=85:15:5)was obtained.The morphology of the polymerized emulsion with the optimum proportion of three monomers was observed by optical microscope,and the particle size change of the optimal proportion of polymerized emulsion in different polymerization time was measured by laser particle size analyzer.The peeled decontamination emulsion prepared by the optimum proportion of monomer can be coated on the surface of different substrate(glass,cement floor,stainless steel,desktop).The decontamination rate can be completely peeled off,and the decontamination rate(except cement floor)is more than 90%.
