Urban Riverside Landscape Design Based On Ecological Restoration

Rivers as the birthplace of urban history and culture,the carrier of urban resources and environment,its ecological health affects the flood safety and environmental benefits of surrounding areas and even the entire city.In the past three decades,the rapid economic development and the rapid increase in population have caused many cities to face environmental problems such as drought,floods and water pollution.In the early stage of the problem,traditional engineering transformation took the mainstream,and concrete rivers and canals were built to alleviate flood disasters.Nowadays,with the change of people's environmental awareness and the vision of being close to nature,the river needs to be ecologically restored on the basis of ecological theory,so as to attract people to improve the vitality of the site and promote the historical and cultural connotation of the river.This paper summarizes the main theories,research progress and strategies of river ecological restoration at home and abroad from the perspective of landscape architecture,studies the relevant theories and components of urban riverside landscape,and draws on the excellent case of urban riverside landscape based on river ecological restoration concept.It is concluded that the ecological restoration of the river level at the landscape level should start from the three aspects of natural landscape elements,artificial landscape elements and human landscape elements,and adopt corresponding strategies for different constituent elementsTaking the dam river landscape planning in Beijing as an example,this paper analyzes the current situation of the dam river and integrates the strategies studied in the paper.From the perspective of landscape architecture,the ecological restoration strategy is proposed to restore the ecology of the dam,so that the river no longer splits the city,but is dependent on each other.Thereby coordinating the relationship between people and rivers,creating a riverside landscape that continues the history and culture and is comfortable and pleasant.
