Graphite carbon felt?GF?is often used as electrode material because of its low price,good chemical properties and conductivity.However,the surface of carbon felt will be destroyed by high voltage,which will affect its material properties.So in recent years,it has become a research hotspot to load some metal oxides on carbon felt to improve the stability and catalytic activity of materials.Manganese dioxide was prepared by solvothermal method.In order to retain the excellent electrochemical properties of manganese dioxide and enhance its practical application value,we tested the degradation of methylene blue by the composites prepared under different conditions.It was found that the optimum technological conditions for the preparation of composite materials were acid activation,initial loading of KMnO4 0.4 g,hydrothermal at 120? and calcination in air atmosphere.Through the electrochemical characterization of the composites prepared under the optimum conditions,we know that the composites prepared are manganese dioxide/GF composites with tetragonal phase structure,and the manganese dioxide particles are uniformly coated on the surface of graphite felt,resulting in the formation of highly porous manganese dioxide/GF composites.Voltage 0.9 V is the optimum voltage for degradation of methylene blue by manganese dioxide/GF composites.Manganese dioxide/GF composites have excellent reusability as electrode materials.Manganese dioxide/GF composites can degrade five kinds of dyes with different structures very well,which shows that manganese dioxide/GF composites have good degradability to some main dyes in wastewater.After reaction,tetragonal manganese dioxide is still present on the anode-cathode manganese dioxide/GF composite,in which manganese dioxide particles are uniformly coated on the surface of carbon felt,and the structure of manganese dioxide/GF composite is very stable.There are synergistic effects between anode and cathode in the degradation process of composite materials.Hydroxyl radical and superoxide radical are helpful to the degradation process,but there are non-free radicals in the degradation process,and hydroxyl radical is not the main reason for the degradation of methylene blue.
