Magnesium and its alloys have broad application prospects, which are regarded as potential "green metal structural materials".However, magnesium and its alloys are often close-packed hexagonal structures. The less independent slipping system at room temperature cause less deformability, and the strong basal texture is easily formed during deformation. Therefore, studying the relationship between texture control and orientation and deformation mechanism has important theoretical and practical significance for enhancing the room temperature plastic forming ability of magnesium alloy. In this paper,Mg-8Er and Mg-10 Er binary alloys were researched. The behavior and mechanism of cold rolling and room temperature tensile plastic deformation were studied. The evolution of cold rolling texture and recrystallization texture was analyzed.Provide a theoretical reference for improving the room temperature deformation ability of magnesium alloys.Research indicates:(1)When the alloy sheet is rolled in multiple passes at room temperature, the sample with large roll diameter or large reduction has better deformation ability due to compression twinning and double twinning. The increase of reduction per pass causes the Schmid factor of the compression twin to increase, which corresponds to the increase in compression twins in the experimental results.(2)By studying the grain orientation produced by the recrystallization process,it is found that the double twins can produce as the nucleation sites for recrystallization, and the tensile twin crystal cannot be the recrystallized nucleation sites. When a large number of recrystallized grains are nucleated, the c-axis direction of the nucleus lies in the direction of 22.5°-45° from the normal(ND),and accounts for more than 50% of the total recrystallization fraction, and maintains this ratio throughout the recrystallization process.(3)Samples with weaker basal texture after cold rolling and recrystallization, which can increase activity of basal slip. The deformation near the grain boundary can effectively relieve the stress during the stretching process.Concentration, effectively improve its plasticity, room temperature elongation of more than 30%.
