Bucket wheel stacker and reclaimer as an efficient bulk material handling equipment,it has been widely used in docks,cement plant,power plant and other industries.Automating transformation of bucket wheel machine can effectively improve the efficiency and stability of the equipment.This paper analyzes the necessity of spatial positioning for automatic control of bucket wheel machine.In order to achieve automatic control of the bucket wheel machine,it is necessary to carry out the precise space positioning of equipments in the stock yard,making all equipments in the whole stock yard in a unified three-dimensional coordinate system to ensure the safe and effective operation of the bucket wheel machine.This paper mainly analyzes the working principle and various parameters of bucket wheel machine and 2D laser scanner,and completes the design scheme of bucket wheel machine operation positioning by combining the current mainstream indoor positioning technology.Firstly,this paper introduces the mechanism of bucket wheel machine and studys the principle of automatic control of stacking and reclaiming.Focusing on the principle of ranging of 2D laser scanners and the process of data transmission.Next,through the comparison of indoor positioning technology,we choose UWB wireless positioning technology and RFID technology to locate the bucket wheel machine.This paper designs two sets of positioning schemes,UWB as the main positioning technology,with absoluting encoder as auxiliary positioning method,RFID technology is used for calibration positioning.The two sets of schemes are mutually redundant,working together to achieve the operation positioning of the bucket wheel machine.Finally,converting the collected data to obtain the three-dimensional coordinates of the measured point.On this basis,a digital coal yard coal scanning system is developed to realize three-dimensional reconstruction of coal pile.The positioning method of the bucket wheel machine provided in this paper can meet the accuracy requirements of spatial positioning,and has good practicality and application value.
