| In recent years,China’s smog weather has been frequent, and smog pollution has become a prominent environmental problem in China. The main components of smog,PM2.5 and PM10,have become China’s main air pollutants.Smog pollution can cause great harm to people’s health, which will directly lead to residents suffering from various diseases and even leading to premature death, bringing huge health damage costs to residents. This research selects 30 provinces and cities(excluding Hainan Province),and the relevant data from 2007 to 2016 are based on sustainable development theory, environmental economics theory and health economics theory.First, the exposure-response relationship model is used to calculate the health effects caused by smog pollution in different provinces and cities.Secondly,Introducing the per capita life year and GDP discount value of the early death of different diseases into the revised human capital method to calculate the health economic loss that died early, the revised human capital method is used to calculate the cost of early death of health damage, and the disease cost method is used to estimate the health economic loss caused by hospitalization and outpatients caused by haze pollution.Analyzed the trends of health damage costs caused by smog pollution in 30 provinces and cities in the past decade and the differences between different provinces and cities. Finally, propose policy recommendations related to the conclusions of this study. The results show that: The health economic loss caused by premature death from smog pollution is much higher than the health economic loss from hospitalization and outpatient clinics. From 2007 to 2016,the health economic loss in 30 provinces and cities increased first and then decreased.2007 is the lowest health economic loss in 10 years, which is 464.9 billion yuan, accounting for 1.72% of the GDP of the year. The health economic loss in 2014 was higher than that of other years,at 1.526 trillion yuan, accounting for 2.3% of GDP in the year.In 2016,it was down from 2014,but the value still reached about 3 times that of 2007.In terms of 30 provinces and cities as a whole,Jiangsu and Shandong in the eastern cities in most years are the areas with the highest health damage costs, followed by the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and the areas with the lowest health damage costs are Yunnan and Tibet. In general, smog pollution has brought huge health damage costs to residents and increased the economic burden on people’s lives. Therefore, how to effectively control smog pollution and reduce the medical burden of residents has become a top priority. |
