| Resistance spot welding is the main joining method for automobile body-in-white,and its joining quality is one of the most critical factors affecting vehicle integrity and safety.With the development of lightweight vehicles,aluminum alloys have gradually found increasing application in automobile bodies.Resistance spot welding of aluminum alloys is more difficult than conventional steel resistance spot welding,and it is prone to produce defects such as splashes and excessive indentations.In this paper,the simulation and experimental methods were used to analyze the aluminum alloy resistance spot welding process,and the bonding resistance spot welding process was studied to achieve the purpose of optimizing the joining process to improve the quality of aluminum alloy spot welding.Firstly,this paper studied the application of aluminum alloy materials in the body and the resistance spot welding process.The application of aluminum alloy in the body was introduced according to different molding methods,and the mechanism and characteristics of several common joining processes were explained.The process mechanism of resistance spot welding and the resistance spot welding characteristics of aluminum alloy were mainly introduced.The welding defects and audit criteria of aluminum alloy resistance spot welding were introduced according to the characteristics.Secondly,the numerical simulation of the forming process of aluminum alloy resistance spot welding was carried out.According to the finite element theory,the finite element model of spot welding was built,and the key problems of model establishment were studied,the correctness of the model was verified by experiments.Through the analysis of the simulation results,the influence of different process parameters on the formation of the nugget was obtained,and the process optimization of aluminum alloy resistance spot welding was realized.Finally,the experimental research on aluminum alloy bonding resistance spot welding was carried out.The feasible welding parameters were studied for structural adhesive application.The effects of different process parameters on the bonding resistance spot welding were obtained by orthogonal test and analysis of variance,and the regression between the process parameters and the tensile strength was further analyzed,in order to quickly determine process parameters,improve production efficiency and reduce production costs. |
