The effect of wet end chemicals for wallpaper was studied in this paper.High solid content of amphoteric polyacrylamide were prepared. The performances of recycled paper after adding the chemicals to wet end were investigated. This study provides a theoretical and technical support for pulp and paper industry. In this thesis, the main conclusion can be summarized as follows:Firstly, acrylamide and N,N-dimethyl acrylamide, itaconic acid, methyl acryloyl oxygen ethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride were used as the main raw material. The optimum synthesis condition of amphoteric polyacrylamide is as follows: the dosage of acrylamide accounts for 70% of the total amount of monomer. The dosage of N,N-dimethyl acrylamide accounts for 1.5%.The dosage of methyl acryloyl oxygen ethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride accounts for 6%.The dosage of itaconic acid is 2%.The dosage of methyl propyl sulfonic acid sodium is 0.2%.The dosage of concentrated sulfuric acid is 4%.The dosage of dimethyl amino ethyl methacrylate is 10%.The dosage of base dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride 6.3%.Dosage of initiator is 0.4%.Rreaction temperature is 80°C,the reaction time is 5 h,the stirring speed is 50 r/min,Under this condition, molecular weight of amphoteric polyacrylamide can be reached around 670000 which was suitable for strengthening agent.Secondly, strengthening performance of polyacrylamide was studied in the paper. Results show that when the dosage of strengthening agent dosage is 25 kg/t,which can obviously improve the tensile strength, folding strength, tear strength and so on.Products are tested on the paper machine. The results show that the quality meet the requirements of the wallpaper.
