In recent years,China has invested more research and guarantee for the traffic safety of mountain freeways.However,due to its particularity and limitation in terrain,climate,design and construction,the safety situation of mountain freeways is still severe.Under this background condition,the present paper makes researches on mountain freeways accident risk relying on team project "Huangyan mountain freeway traffic risk assessment and improvement measures",aims to build a kind of evaluation system to measure the accident risk level mountain freeways and find the risk factors.Firstly,the present paper analyses the characteristics of mountain freeways in road,traffic,external environment and other aspects,and clarifies its unique attributes and potential safety hazards;then combined with the unique attributes of mountain freeways and the general characteristics of freeways,this paper analyzes the main accident factors of mountain freeways in aspects such as people,vehicles,roads and environment,and analyzes the possibility or severity of each factor's influence on the accident.Secondly,this paper clears the accident risk rules of mountain freeways,based on the characteristics of mountain freeways and its main accident factors,and combined with the accident attributes of mountain freeways.Then from the two aspects of accident possibility and severity,the key factors of accident risk of mountain freeways were identified using rough set theory.And applying the risk assessment thought of Kent method,the value of each index in the system was standardized by divided risk grade and the accident risk grade measurement index system was finally constructed,Thirdly,this paper applies the matter-element extension theory to the mountain freeways' accident risk index system,and optimizes its index weight determination method.Based on the matter-element extension model,the mountain freways' accident risk level measurement system is established.Finally,the accident risk key factor index and risk level measurement system of mountain expressway is applied to the case of Huangyan freeway and the model system is used to evaluate the existing data of the main section of Huangyan freeway.The overall accident risk level of Huangyan freeway is obtained and the hidden danger factor is discovered which help to give corresponding improvement Suggestions.
