The Application Of Zhoushan Fishermen's Costume Elements In Modern Costume Design

Zhoushan Island,is located in the easternmost of Zhejiang Province,which occupies a important location of maritime traffic and trade with a long history.The local people make web to fishing for generations,which has formed a unique customs gradually and evolved into a representative culture of marine fishermen.Since the policy “ Marine Silk Road of 21 th century” has been proposed.Zhoushan plays an important role in the strategy for Chinese Marine Economic Development.With the focus on the Marine Economy,the attention of Marine Culture gets more enhanced than before,people pay more attention on local culture and began to researching on marine folk culture.The marine folk culture of Zhoushan including countless intangible culture heritage,the clothing of fishermen is one of them.In recent years,with the benefits of the society,the intangible culture heritage of Zhoushan get excavation,arrangement and some kind of inheritance.Nevertheless,with the development of society and the material life of people,the traditional cloth was replaced by modern customs which is more efficient and functional.The clothing of fishermen doesn't plays an important parts of the intangible culture heritage of Zhoushan,as the consequence it fails to accept by the public.This paper will started at traditional fishermen clothing of Zhoushan,by looking up books,documents,and field study,trying to analysis and arrange the characteristic.Extracting the related elements,and combined with traditional elements and modern design finally,trying to make these elements different on modern fashion.Nowadays,so many brands try to attract customers with their designing of mixing some of many kinds culture clothing elements,but there is no one tried to add some element of local folk culture clothing.The clothing of Zhoushan fishermen as an important brunch of Chinese marine culture clothing,which is very different from inland area folk customs.It's a good choice to develop regional characteristic costume.It is hoped that this paper will not only inherit and innovate of the traditional fishermen clothing,but cloud bring the Zhoushan clothing into public audience.Raising the place of folk clothing in intangible culture heritage and promote the influence of the fish culture of Zhoushan gradually,which also provide a new idea and direction in the development of regional characteristic costume.Hope that through this paper research,I can reach to the purpose of inheritance and innovation for traditional indigo dye,at the same time,cause people to have a deeper thinking for our traditional technology innovation and application.
