Benzoquinone is an important fine chemical raw material,it's widely used in the fields,it can be synthesized as a pharmaceutical intermediate,in flame retardant, rubber antioxidant and other industries has widely used.Traditional methods for producing benzoquinone has disadvantages, such as serious environmental pollution, low utilization rate of raw materials, and high energy consumption. The reaction of phenol to benzoquinone, the titanium peroxide catalyst showed good catalytic performance. The main work of this paper is to investigate the method of preparing titanium peroxide catalyst, and characterize the prepared titanium peroxide catalyst. The conditions of phenol catalytic oxidation process are discussed, and the optimal reaction route was obtained. In the preparation of titanium peroxide catalyst, the method of using titanium sulfate as titanium material. The effect of hydrogen peroxide addition and p H during the preparation catalyst was investigated. The process conditions as follows: the mass ratio of hydrogen peroxide added to titanium sulfate was 1.3:1,and the p H was 7.3.The titanium peroxide samples were characterized by SEM ? XRD ? TG-DSC and XPS,the catalyst were characterized by amorphous structure and formation of certain hydroxyl groups on the surface, study on modification of titanium peroxide catalyst. In the experiment of phenol reaction, the factors affecting the results, such as the reaction time, temperature and the amount of catalyst added. The optimal process conditions were as follows: acetic acid was used as the solvent for the reaction, and the reaction time was 60 min,the reaction temperature was 50?,the mass ratio of catalyst to phenol was 0.26,and the molar ratio of hydrogen peroxide to phenol was 4:1.he mechanism in the catalytic process was discussed. The separation of the product benzoquinone was by extraction method, and the extracts was dichloromethane.
