With the rapid development of the metal additive manufacturing,the arc additive manufacturing technology using the wire deposit layer stacking formation proved to be a reasonable,efficient,and low-cost manufacturing method for rapidly manufacturing parts with complicated structures.This paper has carried out in-depth research on fusion welding 3D printing and milling composite manufacturing CAM system.The main content as follows:(1)For the direct modeling of the CAD model,it is necessary to traverse the parametric surface problem multiple times,and all the parametric surfaces of the model are divided into corresponding interval groups according to certain conditions,so that the current tangent plane directly intersects with the parametric surface in the corresponding interval group to realize the tangent plane.Quickly intersect with the parametric surface;for the problem of no topology of the layered section ring,the identification and grouping of the inner and outer loops are completed based on the projection point counting method.(2)For the complex path of the offset path and the warping problem of the reciprocating path,the composite path planning method combining the reciprocating straight line and the contour offset is adopted for the welding path.The problem of excessive arcing and arc extinguishing for the reciprocating path is based on the contour ring.Topological structure and improved greedy algorithm optimize the design of the partition path,reduce the number of arc-extinguishing and shorten the idle path;for the problem of welding at the corner,optimize the path corner based on B-spline curve technology to ensure the path corner speed is uniform,Improve the quality of fusion welding.(3)For the problem of interpolation path generation at the branch of a complex model,the spatial section lines are first grouped,from the whole to the part,and the section line is divided into one-to-one cases from coarse to fine;then the intermediate transition saddle point is calculated for the special case at the end of the bifurcation.And generate an over-guided curve;finally use the linear interpolation method to obtain the intermediate path point and generate a milling path based on the cubic B-spline fitting.Through above step,the CAM system for welding and milling composite manufacturing was studied,and the metal three-dimensional model through composite path planning was successfully fabricated,which proved the possibility of using this method to realize metal parts manufacturing.
