In recent years,the separated type cage,which is riveted,is failure many times during use.It is broken of the rivet in the cage,which has great influence of the engine.In this paper,it is through analyzes the fracture characteristics of cage rivets,determined the two types of rivet fracture representations of nail head fracture and rivet rod fracture.To determine the failure mechanism of nail head fracture and nail rod fracture,it is bearing raceway surface damage and work system resonance,which is resulting the steel ball has an irregular circumferential and axial impact on the cage hole,make the rivet broken in excess of the tensile strength it can withstand.According to the two kinds of rivet fracture mechanisms,use “removing the rivet test” and “test of prefabrication defeces on bearing raceway surface”,recurrence rivet pin head fracture failure,to verify the effect of surface damage of raceway on the fracture of rivets.Using “simulation optimization calculation” and “the cage natural frequency comparison test”,verify the match between simulation calculation and actual test.And according to the simulation results,give the improving measures to increase the strength of the cage rivet.Through the confirm the type fault mode of the cage rivet fracture,analysis of fracture causes and test validation,from the cage of the material,rivet strength,raceway surface strength,clearance,working environment ect five aspects.Proposal for the rationality of the use of the bearing cage rivet's fracture resistance,avoid similar failures occur again.
