The screw drum of shearer is the main working mechanism of comprehensive mechanized coal mining,which completes the cutting and loading of shearer.The cutting performance of the screw drum can basically meet the coal and rock mass of different geological conditions,but the actual loading performance of the working face is far from the design index.The reason is that there are many design parameters affecting the loading performance of the screw drum of shearer,and the limit of boundary conditions makes the design parameters unable meanwhile to get the optimal value,resulting in the actual loading performance of some screw drums less than 60%.At the same time,in the research of cutting components,the tooth holder of the screw drum cutting end-disc contacts coal and rock mass first.Because of the unreasonable installation angle and arrangement of the tooth holder space,the phenomenon of top cutter appears when cutting components into coal seam,which leads to the screw drum can not successfully cut into coal and rock mass,that is,the improvement of mechanical properties of cutting components is also the key basic problem of drum design.In addition,the screw drum of shearer is developing towards large cutting diameter and super large cutting diameter,therefore,based on the cutting power and structural characteristics of existing shearers,it is particularly important to optimize the core structure of the screw drum,reduce the weight of the whole shearer and reduce the cutting ratio and energy consumption.To synthesize the above analysis,the following research is completed in this paper on the basis of the study of the structure and design parameters of the screw drum of the common shearer.1.Analysis based on scene Test Data,a new two-parameter design method is proposed to analyze the structure of screw drum of shearer and determine the design parameters.Compared with the mainstream design method,the screw drum designed by this method has higher loading efficiency and lower impact on fully mechanized mining equipment.2.By studying the mechanical properties of common pick,a new type of selfrotation groove cutting pick tooth structure and an improved arrangement of the cutter end disc base are proposed in this paper.3.The end disc bears the greatest comprehensive cutting resistance,and its dynamic characteristics have a great influence on the comprehensive performance of the screw drum.In this paper,the structure of cutting end disc and helical blade of screw drum is optimized,which is replaced by a hollow detachable split structure,and a new type of helical drum structure of hollow shearer is put forward.4.Comparing with the general performance of the screw drum,it is concluded that the comprehensive performance of the screw drum of the hollow shearer is better,which has certain guiding significance for improving the cutting and loading performance of the screw drum of the large diameter shearer.5.The screw drum spray system is the fully mechanized mining working face dust removal and cooling equipment,provide excellent working environment for the screw drum,the quality of the spray determines the working life of the screw drum.In this paper,a spray system corresponding to its structure is designed for the structural characteristics of a new type of screw drum of shearer.
