Utilization And Management Of Water Resources In The Qing Dynasty From The Perspective Of Environmental History

As the source of life,water is one of the most important components of human production and life.The rational use and effective management of water resources is the basis for the stability of local social order and economic development.The use and management of water resources in historical periods is one of the important contents of historical geography research.Especially in recent years,the issue of environmental history has been continuously concerned by the academic circles,and the development and utilization of water resources in southern Shaanxi in the Qing Dynasty,It belongs to the research field of historical geography and one of the main issues of environmental history.The research can deeply understand the interaction between “water resources,natural disasters and social people”,and it is also the current utilization of water resources in Yang Xian County.Management provides historical reference and has important academic significance.Yang Xian is located in the southwest of Shaanxi Province,upstream of the Han Jiang River Basin,and is rich in water resources.The social and economic development of Yang Xian County during the historical period has a strong dependence on water resources.From the perspective of environmental history,the utilization and management of water resources in Yang Xian can be carried out in three aspects: First,Farmland water conservancy development and management in Yang Xian County in the Qing Dynasty.Second,Drought and rain in Yang Xian County in the Qing Dynasty.Third,Water conservancy and ecological livelihood in Yang Xian County in the Qing Dynasty.he research content is mainly based on the historical materials such as the existing inscriptions and local records,and uses the theories and methods of history,geography,sociology and other disciplines to address the natural disasters in the Yang Xian area of ??the Qing Dynasty,the development of water resources,water rights disputes,Pray rain and other comparative analysis.The results show that floods and droughts are the main reasons affecting the development of regional water resources utilization and management;local officials,based on the management of “old examples”,play a leading role in the process of dealing with water rights disputes,not only the initiation of local water conservancy facilities.People and inspectors are the main managers of local water conservancy order,and the people are the main participants and beneficiaries.In the dry years,local governments and people in the public jointly prayed for rain to deal with drought.This is a way for local people to cope with water resources utilization and management,which is similar to other regions.When combing the relationship between water resources utilization and management and Yang Xian County's social economy,the study found that the two are closely related,especially Han Jiang Shipping is an important way to communicate Yang Xian County with the external economy,transportation and information;at the same time,regional social economy The development has promoted the rapid development of Han Jiang water transport and provided good conditions for regional economic development.
