As a developing country,China has a huge requirement to energy.China is the largest net importers of oil in the world.Oil is the very important strategic resources,so China must to be with enough oil reserves.VLCC as an important ship type still has a large insufficiency according to China's oil reserves plan.National development and reform commission signs new building plan forms new corporation for VLCC.Restricted by the draft in China,VLCC must to be moored in harbor with a mount of mud such as Zhoushan & Ningbo harbor,making water ballast tanks be filled with a huge mud inside.The sediment brings the loss of speed,the loading quantity and energy.Even worse,the sediment will make harm to hull structure and the safe of navigation.At the same time,cleaning the sediment in ballast water tank needs a lot of labor forces and financial forces,and during the cleaning,the VLCC can't be operation.So,how to deal with the sediment is a big program to ship designers and ship owners.According to VLCC's characters,this paper provides several solutions to the anti-mud method by referring the newest ship type and comparing the effect and feasibility of different methods.So this paper gives a new method to solve the program which China's VLCC must to be faced.The simulation proves that the method mentioned in this paper can effectively remove the sediment in ballast tank,and has the feasibility and economy of the project.Currently,this method has been used on ships.
