Tracer Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence(PLIF)technology has developed into a vital tool for the experimental study of fluid dynamics.A spectropic fluorescence study was performed for ketones and aromatic hydrocarbon. The results allow a better understanding of the fluorescence model, which could be developed for the fluorescence yield of aromatic species.Domestic RP-3 aviation kerosene was used as tracer in this paper.Fluorescence characteristics of kerosene were analyzed by fluorescence generation model.A kerosene fluorescence yield model was established based on a two-level system. Finally,a two-dimensional distribution measurement model of kerosene fluorescence intensity was established. To develop an approach for planar laser induced fluorescence diagnostics on the vapour phase of a multi-component fuel, the spectroscopic study about Domestic RP-3 aviation kerosene has been investigated. The effects of temperature on the absorption cross section, fluorescence spectrum and fluorescence intensity of kerosene have also been studied.Under the excitation wavelength of 266 nm,the comparison on fluorescence spectra and characteristics between kerosene and typical aromatic hydrocarbons have been carried out,and the composition of fluorescence spectrum of Domestic RP-3 aviation kerosene have been determined. The fluorescence spectra of kerosene consists of mono-and di-aromatic,and the fluorescence spectra of mono-and di-aromatic have different responses to temperature. Thus,a two-color temperature measurement method has been established by using suitable filter and camera to measure the relevance between the fluorescence intensity ratio of different bands and temperature. At the same time, this method can measure the two-dimensional distribution of kerosene concentration. The effects of kerosene concentration and oxygen concentration on fluorescence intensity of kerosene have also been studied. The experiment system of measuring fluorescence properties and absorption cross section of kerosene is presented in this paper, which can also be used for measuring fluorescence properties of other tracer under the environment of high temperature. The kerosene-PLIF measurement system is established to measure two-dimensional distribution of temperature and concentration of kerosene synchronously, which also be proven to be useful in the engine combustion chamber flow field of temperature and concentration of kerosene quantitative measurements.
