Spatial Optimization Of Dongpo Urban Wetland Park In Meishan Based On User Demand

With the increase of people’s leisure awareness,leisure demand is becoming more and more diversified,as a special type of park with the function of City Park Service and ecological function,Urban Wetland Park has become one of the most important outdoor site for city dwellers.But the urban wetland park is newly developed in the past ten years,the existing researches on the Urban Wetland Park mainly focused on the study or discussion of the wetland’s ecological function,and ignored the service function and the social economic and cultural benefits function.Furthermore,the Urban Wetland Park’s service function and social cultural benefits are closely related to the requirements of the users.On the view of the users,creating a diversification activity space and meeting the psychological feelings of visitors can improve the service function and the social cultural benefits of the City Wetland Park.Beside it also plays an important role in future reasonable wetland park construction and the park’s sustainable development.Based on the theoretical knowledge of environmental behavior,environmental psychology,user demand theory,Space place theory and post occupancy evaluation,the author choose the Dongpo Urban Wetland Park of Meishan City as the research object to analyze the internal and external physical environmental characteristics,user and its behavior characteristics,user preferences and users’ satisfaction towards the park’s space elements by physical environment field investigation,behavior observation and record,questionnaire survey,interviews and other methods,so as to obtain the user’s behavior needs and psychological needs and the differences between the activity space and the user demands of the Dongpo Urban Wetland Park.Finally,taking the user’s demand as the foothold,this paper sums up the advantages and disadvantages of the space location of Dongpo City Wetland Park in space accessibility,space security,space comfort,space practicality,spatial sense of belonging and identity,and in the light of the shortcomings,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)The spatial accessibility can be improved by adding the north entrance parking lot or underground parking lot,updating the map logo,adjusting partial of the location and style of the identification system,re-planning the trampling path and the jungle trestle road rationally.(2)The space safety can be enhanced by implementing the regular lighting in the wetland experience area,adopting the lighting facilities of the wooden pile to prompt the water boundary,decreasing the gap of the railing and increasing the height of the guardrail.(3)The improvement of spatial comfort can be mainly achieved through the optimization of plant landscape and sanitation facilities,such as using the characteristics of wide water area of Wetland Park to arrange the remote plant landscape in the ecological conservation area and the small island in the lake with the choosing of plant seasonal variation and considering of plant nectar source and the plant that bird likes,carrying on the rational collocation of the arbor,bush and grass and the layer structure of the shore plant to strengthen the construction of the middle and low layer landscape structure,using the flowering plants and aromatic plants to foil the atmosphere of wetland,updating the plant species of flower ornamental garden and children’s playground to improve ornamental and shade function,adding toilets,carrying out the modeling and style design of the trash can.(4)The space practicability can be improved by improving and upgrading the waterfront space,basic service facilities,science popularization function and lawn space,including opening the waterfront boundary,setting up the slope revetment and the wooden platform connected with the water environment to strength the hydrophilic interaction,reforming the existing hydrophilic space to realize the function transformation and richness,adding the shelter,rest and fitness facilities,exchanging the type and position of the seat flexibly to promote the occurrence and continuity of the exchange activities,adding science popularization facilities such as popular science card,popular science sculpture and bird watching facilities,carrying out various science popularization activities,and using plant to stimulate vision and olfaction which can promote human activity and spatial vitality in local lawn space.(5)The sense of belonging and identity can be improved by adding the introduction of sculpture and scenic spots,updating cultural expressions,carrying out cultural activities and creating places that provide people with participation and experience chance.
