Abstract/Summary:
For most of petroleum reservoirs, challenges are: 1)Understanding the effectiveness of a development plan chosen for recovery of hydrocarbon resources. It is important to understand the changes happening in a reservoir formation as production takes place.2)Understanding distribution of remaining oil after reservoir be developed for a period of time.Remaining oil usually index the potential of the reservoir.3)Optimization is always a challenge for it requires good quality and reliable data with a sound engineering judgment of enhanced oil recovery(EOR)methods which can make the reservoir development implemented successfully.Reservoir engineering theory, mathematical technique and numerical simulation technology are employed to establish the development performance evaluation method and conduct the remaining oil distribution analysis.First, the geology model, fluid model and production history model of F23 reservoir are constructed separately and they are coupled to be reservoir numerical simulation model. Then history matching are conducted to ensure the similarity of numerical simulation model with real reservoir.Second, water flooding development performance of F23 reservoir are evaluated based on this model. After that, production dynamic trend are forecasted according to current reservoir and well conditions. Finally, the remaining oil distribution are analyzed, and the potential oil layer and location are confirmed. Then the enhance oil recovery methods are designed and optimized based on the oil distribution analysis results. The development performance evaluation result shows that water flooding can achieve satisfying oil recovery with low investment for F23 reservoir.Furthermore, the performance will be better if the injection and production rate be optimized. There are still full of oil potential area and layers left for enhance oil recovery according to the remaining oil distribution analysis result. The development performance can be improved significantly if the EOR approaches such as well type and pattern adjustment can be employed based on the reservoir numerical simulation.
