After decades of waterflooding processes, the old oil fields in the world have already went into the stages of high water-cut and high recovery percentage of reserves. Most oil fields in china are at the latter stage of high water-cut or at the stage of ultrahigh water cut, having the water-cut up to 80%. For high water-cut reservoirs, about more than 70% of the remaining oil will be recovered at the stages with water-cut higher than 80%, thus, this will lead to more and more difficult recovery processes. Such abundant remaining oil is the rich foundation of improving reserve and the important basis for EOR. However, looking for such remaining oil and recovering them economically have been a very important and under-resolved issue for our high water-cut oil fields which are at the new exploitation stage. This dissertation is based on the synthetical analysis of reservoir performance analysis, reservoir engineering and the fine reservoir numerical simulation. It focuses on the remaining oil distribution and further developing the remaining oil in waterflooding sandstone reservoirs with high water-cut stage, providing parameters and methods for evaluating the development performance of such reservoirs. Evaluating systems for the situation of reserve utilization and remaining oil distribution have been set up on various basic for these reservoirs. Thus a set of scientific and reasonable evaluating system applicable for residual oil distribution prediction of water drive sandstone reservoirs that are in high water-cut processes is built in this article.Based on the prediction and evaluation methods of the remaining oil, in this article, taking the V oil reservoir of Shuanghe oil field as example, we have studied the distribution of the remaining oil and discussed synthetically how to further develop the remaining oil. According to applications in field, the methods brought forward in this paper are accurate and reliable, which is important for the guidance of the similar oilfield exploitation.
