With the development of the oil field,there are more and more operations of major well work-over.Among the wells with problems,some are difficult to do the workover job because of the limited areas or unsuitable position.It can seriously impact the balance between injection and production and decrease the recovery efficiency if these wells can't be handled in time.However,by using the workover technique with the top drive device,this problem can be solved directly.Although the conventional top drive devices are for drilling work,in this paper,a new kind of the top drive device is advanced for the well workover job.And according to amount of the load,the rotate speed of the device can achieve automatic adjustment by using the power method and torque method.In this paper,according to the performance of the small size top drive device,a set of electrical-drive well work-over device is designed to achieve the automatic adjustment depending on the load size.And on the basis of down-hole string and problem processing situation,the maximum torque can be determined.The overload protection device can also achieve smooth operation,with no damage to casing,and with no secondary accidents.And optimizing the system structure design can realize the circulatory system and cooling system,independently each other,without being limited by the circulation medium,and prolong the life of work-over top drive to use and is convenient for maintenance.At the same time,the supporting technology of the roof flooding control,and the control of the whole process of the well control in the process of the top drive.Overload protection equipment is designed to increase the service life of the whole new top drive device.Specially,the supporting well workover process and installation is also designed to make up the complete well workover technique.
