Electromagnetic metamaterials are new type of material that can manipulate the electromagnetic waves by combining sub-wavelength unit structures.With designing the size and structure of materials,metamaterials can exhibit electromagnetic properties which cannot be achieved by natural materials.As a result of the two-dimensional electromagnetic metamaterial,the electromagnetic metasurfaces can not only actualize the advantages of the thin structure,the low loss,the easy preparation,the change of the use mode,but also can actualize the performance of the electromagnetic metamaterials to control the amplitude,phase and polarization of the electromagnetic wave.Therefore,it has received wide attention from researchers,and electromagnetic devices based on metasurfaces design have appeared more in the practical field.Within this research background,this paper has briefly introduced the development of history and direction of electromagnetic metamaterials and electromagnetic metasurfaces.Basic on the performance of electromagnetic metasurfaces,which are combined with the radar monitoring process,the electromagnetic stealth technology has been detailed described.The theoretical analysis and formula derivation are introduced,and the polarization mode of the antenna and the stealth principle of polarization deflection are introduced as well.Secondly,based on the electromagnetic metasurfaces technology,a new kind of polarization conversion metasurfaces is proposed for the single-polarized antenna system in the radar monitoring system.The principle analysis,numerical simulation,experimental measurement and actual performance analysis are carried out.The analysis results are in good agreement.It verifies the rationality and feasibility of the stealth device.Furthermore,the concept of inverse phase cancellation and phase regulation are introduced,and a new metasurfaces stealth device is proposed.The device can simultaneously achieve the stealth of the single-polarized and circular-polarized antenna radar monitoring system: for linearly polarized incident waves,the device can reduce the radar cross section of the target;for circularly polarized incident waves,the device can reduce the reflection and echo in the positive direction,and can deflect the propagation direction of reflected waves in four directions based on the generalized Snell's law,so as to achieve electromagnetic stealth function.All the results in this dissertation are verified from the direction of theoretical analysis,numerical simulation and experimental measurement,which further confirms the feasibility of the application of electromagnetic metasurfaces in practical applications.Moreover,they are likely to have certain reference significance for the research on the application of electromagnetic metasurfaces stealth device in practical scenes.
