As a kind of waste in the smelting industry,copper slag has always been simply piled upfor a long time.There is no reasonable and resourceful utilization method.The copper slag contains a large amount of iron-containing minerals,and its catalytic effect on the Fenton system has not been used by people.And with the development of modern industry,the industrial organic wastewater generated has an increasingly serious impact on the environment.In this paper,the treatment of industrial organic wastewater by copper slag/H2O2 Fenton-like system is explored.The copper slag/H2O2 Fenton-like system was used to treat the H acid wastewater,andthe optimal conditions for the reaction of the system were sought.The influence of different conditions on the reaction and its causes were elucidated.The catalytic activity and reuse of copper slag in the system were investigated.By investigating the COD removal rate,TOC removal rate,pH change and iron ion concentration change in the experimental process,the catalytic mechanism of the copper slag/H2O2 Fenton-like system was discussed and the catalytic effects of different catalysts were compared,The effect of using this Fenton-like system on different organic wastewaters was investigated,and the application feasibility of copper slag in practical industrial organic wastewater treatment technology was improved.The main research results are as follows:(1)After characterization of copper slag,it can be known that the minerals contained in the copper slag mainly contain fayalite and magnetite,and a small amount of copper bismuth is observed.The content of the most abundant Fe element is 36.19%,the non-metallic element mainly contains O,Si,C,and the other metal elements detected are mainly Pb,Zn,Cu,etc.(2)In the copper slag/H2O2 Fenton-like system,the change of hydrogen peroxide dosage,copper slag dosage,copper slag particle size and initial pH will affect the treatment effect of H acid wastewater;H2O2 dosage:n(H2O2)/m(COD)=0.055mmol/mg,n(H2O2)/m(copper slag)=10mmol/g and initial pH=3,the reaction for 180min,COD and TOC removal rate of 70%and 40%,The effluent metal leaching analysis does not exceed the Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard.The copper slag is reused four times and still has a certain catalytic effect.The COD removal rate can still reach 40%,and the adjustment of the wastewater pH will be reduced.The system has good treatment effect on the black liquor and the reactive red X-3B simulated dye wastewater;(3)Comparing copper slag with several other mineral catalysts and traditional Fe2+catalysts,the results show that copper slag as a heterogeneous catalyst is a better catalyst under strong acid conditions,but its catalytic activity adapts to the pH is weaker.In addition,the suitable pH range of pyrite and traditional Fe2+catalysts is wider.Under the condition of pH=13,magnetite and copper slag have better performance. |
