As die industry developed fast,the requirement for production efficiency and quality of products are getting more and more higher.In the process of die steel cutting,the selection of cutting parameters plays a key role on the production efficiency and surface quality,which requires to select optimum cutting parameters in production.At present,select appropriate tools and corresponding turning process parameters to control the turning surface roughness mainly according to turning test and experience value,which is considerable uncertainty and limitations.The selection of die steel cutting parameters is broad and not accurate enough.In this paper,finite element software analysis of cutting process and the turning testing of Cr12 MoV on die steel is carried out to explore and study the influence of cutting parameters on machined surface quality.The optimization of cutting parameters is achieved by summarizing the laws of a large number of turning tests.The main research findings are as follows:(1)The changing trend of the cutting temperature,cutting stress and cutting force are obtained by analyzing the finite element software to analyze the influence of cutting parameters on cutting efficiency and the useful life of tools.The influence of cutting parameters on roughness is determined by analyzing the test record and the machined surface with the microscope.(2)Single factor turning experiment is carried out on Cr12 MoV specimen of die steel using carbide-tipped tool.The influence law of parameters such as cutting speed?feed rate?back cutting depth on the surface roughness of the workpiece is studied.Through experimental analysis,the final result is obtained: Long tool life,high cutting rate,good surface quality is obtained when the rotation speed of the spindle is 630r/min,the feed rate is 0.53mm/r,back cutting depth is 3.5mm in rough machining,the same,when the rotation speed of the spindle is 1600r/min,the feed rate is 0.05mm/r,and back cutting depth is 0.15 mm in the fine vehicle processing.Effect of cutting parameters on cutting temperature,cutting force and surface roughness of the workpiece etc.,the optimal cutting parameters are selected through comprehensive analysis.This paper provides technical support of cutting parameters for high-precision Cr12 MoV of die steel and has a good guiding significance for actual machining and production.
