Study On Preparation Process And Quality Control Of Yinbing Gel

Yinbing gel is composed of two Chinese herbs---honeysuckle and borneol,which has the effect of clearing heat,detoxifying and relieving pain.According to the results of literature reports and pharmacodynamic tests,Yinbing gel can be used to treat viral dermatosis,such as herpes simplex and herpes zoster.In this study,orthogonal design was used to optimize the extraction process of medicinal materials.The selection of matrix and the orthogonal test method were optimized for the formulation,and the pilot scale experiment can achieve the same result on this basis.In addition,the quality standard of Yinbing gel was studied in detail.The main research contents of the paper were including the following three parts:1.Study on the extraction process of Yinbing gel.The optimum extraction process was determined by orthogonal experiment and statistical analysis,which was adding 40% alcohol into honeysuckle and refluxing for 3 times,1 hour every time.The extract was filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to a concentrate having a relative density of 1.10-1.15(40?).The concentrate was centrifuged at 5000 rpm for 30 min to obtain a clear solution by the high-speed centrifuge.2.Study on the process of formulation of Yinbing gel.Gelatin,carboxymethyl cellulose,sodium alginate and gum trargacanth were used as the matrix supplement,The suitable matrix was screened by investigating the gelability of the gel,which was 3% carboxymethyl cellulose.and optimized the matrix ratio by orthogonal test.The results shown that the better matrix ratio of Yinbing gel can be achieved when the content of excipients were 3% CMC,10% glycerol and 1.5% agar.In this condition,the Gel has good quality and suitable consistency.Furthermore,we did pilot scale experiment according to the prescription process and parameters.The results shown that the parameters were reasonable,indicating that the prescription technology is feasible.3.Study on the quality control of Yinbing gel.According to the relevant provisions of the 2015 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia,the quality standard of Yinbing gel was established.Detailed below: Character: This product is dark brown gel,aromatic gas.Identification: Thin layer chromatography was used to identify borneol.Examination: the pH is in accordance with the standard of Pharmacopoeia.Content Determination: the determination of the content of Yinbing gel by HPLC method was established by investigating the linear relation,precision,stability and recovery.This method was highly exclusive,reproducible and high recovery.It can be used for the determination of chlorogenic acid in Yinbing gel.In conclusion,the formulation and preparation process of the Yinbing gel are reasonable and can meet the needs of industrial production.The quality standard is feasible and can be used as the quality control in Yinbing gel.
