In recent years,microwave vacuum electronic devices have been widely used in radar system,communication system and electronic warfare system due to their unique advantages of high efficiency and high frequency.Among them,helix traveling-wavetube(TWT)plays an indispensable role in the construction of military national defense and the improvement of national economic living standard.Helix slow-wavestructure(SWS)is a key component of helix TWT,and its assembly accuracy affects the characteristic parameters of the whole tube.In the existing assembly method of helix SWS,the cold extrusion method is simple in process and suitable for small-size structure,but has the defects of high assembly accuracy requirement,complex assembly process and the like.Therefore,this thesis proposes and implements an automatic assembly method for helix SWS by cold extrusion,which aims to improve the assembly accuracy and efficiency.The research has certain reference value for the application and development of the cold extrusion assembly method of helix SWS in the future.The main research work is as follows:Firstly,the structure and working principle of helix SWS are analyzed.For smallsize structure,the cold extrusion assembly method is selected.The problems of the traditional assembly method,such as low extrusion precision,complicated assembly process and systematic error of the assembly device itself,are put forward.Then,an automatic assembly scheme is designed and its key components are studied.Secondly,in order to verify the rationality and feasibility of the automatic cold extrusion assembly scheme design for helix SWS,the theoretical analysis and calculation of the main transmission parts and the finite element simulation analysis under the same working condition are carried out.The theoretical relationship between the force on the sliding sleeve and the maximum deformation of the shell is deduced,and the conclusions that the design of the key parts of the device meets the requirements and the design of the automatic assembly scheme has certain reliability are obtained.Then,in order to realize the automatic loading of servo motor and the real-time monitoring of the maximum deformation and pressure value of barrel,the automatic assembly control system is designed,which mainly includes hardware part,software part and man-machine interaction interface.The whole assembly process is able to be completed through man-machine interaction interface.The whole system is provided with overload protection and row position limitation,which can effectively prevent the situation of over extrusion and equipment damage in the process of mechanical transmission.Finally,the cold extrusion experiment and assembly experiment of helix SWS are carried out by using the automatic clamping device.It is concluded that the automatic assembly scheme for helix SWS by cold extrusion can effectively improve assembly accuracy and efficiency.At the same time,the reliability and practicability of the automatic clamping device are verified.
