In this paper,waterborne epoxy emulsifiers(HEO)have been prepared,and then a series of waterborne epoxy dispersions have been prepared through phase inversion method.FLG modified waterborne epoxy dispersions were prepared by incorporating graphene and nano-fumed silica into the dispersions.Firstly,PEG4000,E44 and E51 were available for the synthesis of waterborne epoxy emulsifiers,then particle size of waterborne epoxy dispersions stabilized by the above emulsifiers have been tested to determine the optical emulsifier.At last FLG modified waterborne epoxy dispersions stabilized by the optical emulsifier were prepared.The waterborne epoxy films were characterized by TG,SEM,AFM,EIS,water contact angle and tafel curves.The effects of the molar ratio of PEG4000/EP and its reaction time on emulsifying property of emulsifiers were investigated,as well as the effects of nano-fumed silica on the stability of the emulsion.Lastly,we studied the influence of graphene on water resistance ? thermal stability and anticorrosion properties of waterborne epoxy films.The results show that optical emulsifier(HEO144)can be achieved through the reaction of PEG4000 and E44 in the molar ratio of 1:1.When 1.5% nano-fumed silica was added into waterborne epoxy dispersions,the stability of the FLG modified waterborne epoxy dispersions reach the best.Water resistance?thermal stability and anticorrosion properties of waterborne epoxy films were enhanced by adding 1% graphene into the dispersions.
