With the wide application of graphene oxide?GO?in people's life,GO gradually enters the environment. As a new nanomaterial,GO may become a new pollutant, which is not suitable for people's physical and ecological safety. In addition,GO has large specific surface area and rich oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface.GO exhibits strong adsorption capacity for many heavy metals. When GO enters the soil and groundwater environment,it will inevitably affect heavy metal migration and cause potential secondary pollution. There will be a stronger environmental risk than each others alone. Therefore, revealing the interaction between GO and heavy metal ions after entering the environment has become an urgent problem to be solved. In this paper, through the study of the migration of GO and Cu2+in heterogeneous media and the interaction between them, the mechanism of the influence of different factors on the migration of GO and Cu2+in heterogeneous media is revealed, and the heterogeneous medium of GO and Cu2+is clarified. The interactions in the clarification of the migration characteristics and laws of GO and Cu2+in heterogeneous porous media. The research results provide a theoretical basis for further clarifying the migration behavior and mechanism of GO and Cu2+in soil and groundwater environment, and provide new ideas for the study of secondary pollution that may occur after graphene oxide enters the environment. The following main conclusions have been made:?1?SEM images and EDS spectra show that ferrihydrite and humic acid were successfully immobilized on the surface of quartz sand.Heterogeneous media can have a great influence on the migration of GO.The ferrihydrite-modified quartz sand can retard the transport of GO,while the humic acid-modified quartz sand media can promote the transport of GO.As the ionic strength increases, the mobility of GO decreases, while the effect of flow rate is not obvious.?2?The adsorption amount of Cu2+by heterogeneous media is about twice as high as that of quartz sand. The heterogeneous medium can have a great influence on the migration of Cu2+.The humic acid modified quartz sand has obvious influence on Cu2+migration.Inhibition,while the ferrihydrite-modified quartz sand's influence on Cu2+migration is small. When the ionic strength changes, the migration behavior of Cu2+in the heterogeneous medium is basically unchanged. When the flow rate increases, the recovery rate of Cu2+in the heterogeneous medium increases, and the retention decreases.?3?The maximum adsorption amount of GO to Cu2+is 217.4 mg g-1.GO can improve the mobility of Cu2+in heterogeneous media.Cu2+can also improve the mobility of GO in heterogeneous media. It can carry GO or Cu2+originally present in the medium, and can also retain some GO or Cu2+.In a heterogeneous medium. The results of GO and Cu2+co-migration indicate that GO migration has high mobility, and when Cu2+is present in quartz sand column, the mobility of GO is significantly reduced. At the same time, the mobility of Cu2+ions decreases in the presence of GO in the pore water.
