With the rapid development of science and technology,manufacturing industry is developing towards high precision and high efficiency.The processing technology is more complex and precise in aerospace,shipbuilding,automobile manufacturing,die manufacturing and other industrial fields.Adding measurement technology in the process of processing,adjusting and improving the follow-up process according to the test results is very important to improve the processing efficiency and quality,and reduce the cost of manufacturing industry.Ultrasound has good penetration and directivity.Ultrasound testing is a nondestructive testing technology widely used in manufacturing industry.With the development of science and the innovation of microelectronics technology,the combination of ultrasonic testing and on-machine testing technology is an efficient measurement method which can be applied in NC machining process and has a broad application prospect.On-machine ultrasonic thickness measurement system of Five-axis machine tool solves the problem of rapid automatic wall thickness measurement in the harsh environment of structural parts processing,replaces manual operation to realize direct in-situ wall thickness measurement,improves measurement efficiency,ensures processing quality,and provides technical support for automatic production line of structural parts processing.Power management and data transmission have become the key issues that researchers must face and urgently need to solve.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)In view of the special working condition and functional requirements of the measuring device,appropriate power management technologies are proposed.Power management technology affects the running time,reliability and stability of the system,relates to the cost of system implementation and maintenance,and also restricts the integration and miniaturization of the system.These techniques include high voltage excitation,triggering method,shutdown method,power detection and remote monitoring technology of lithium batteries.According to the voltage demand of each module in the circuit,suitable voltage conversion is realized by using linear regulated power supply and switching power supply technology.(2)According to the special processing environment and data transmission requirements of five-axis NC machine tools,research the technology of data transmission between the on-machine ultrasonic thickness measurement system and the host computer.Realizing reliable data transmission in complex processing condition involves power consumption,signal transmission stability,communication distance and other problems.The influence of processing environment on communication stability is investigated by using low-power Bluetooth technology.The radiation field of the antenna under different installation directions and different metal cylinder aperture schemes is analyzed,and the aperture scheme of the device cylinder is optimized to improve the stability of data transmission.(3)Based on the research of power management and data transmission scheme,the mechanical structure of the measuring device is designed,the waterproof and oil-proof problem of the device is solved.The mechanical structure of the measuring device and the integration of software and hardware are realized.The experiment of on-machine ultrasonic thickness measurement system of Five-axis machine tool under the real condition is completed,and the measurement results are analyzed.
