The blast furnace top equipment is the core equipment of the blast furnace system,since the blast furnace smelting is a continuous production process under high temperature and high pressure conditions,once the furnace top equipment fails or is repaired for a long time,the production continuity will be interrupted and the blast furnace will be given economic operation has a serious impact.Therefore,the blast furnace top equipment can operate reliably for a long time,maintaining a low failure rate and a long repair cycle is essential for stable,efficient and low-cost operation of the blast furnace.The smelting raw material of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd.is a high-titanium vanadium-titanium magnetite.Due to its smelting characteristics,the suitable blast furnace top equipment is selected to ensure stable operation of the blast furnace equipment and reduce the frequency of equipment maintenance for vanadium-titanium magnetite smelting significance.This paper studies the equipment selection and main faults of the three 1750m3 blast furnaces of the Panchang Group Xichang Steel and Vanadium Iron Works.And based on this,technical improvements have been made,effectively reduce the failure of the top equipment,at the same time,the repair cycle has been greatly extended,guaranteed stable operation of the system,achieve good economic benefits.This paper mainly completed the following work:(1)Analysis of the smelting characteristics of vanadium-titanium magnetite blast furnace,Compare the advantages and disadvantages of domestic blast furnace top equipment,Choosing blast furnace top equipment suitable for smelting vanadium-titanium magnetite.(2)Through the previous design optimization,improve the wear and tear of various parts of the tank-type bellless top equipment,improve their service life;(3)Improve the structure of the upper and lower valve plate to reduce the failure;(4)Reliability design optimization of furnace top electrical control and computer control system;(5)Research and improvement on the material and structure of the central throat liner and the cloth chute liner;(6)Analyze the cause of damage to the upper and lower rubber rings and improve them;(7)Conduct research on the environmental temperature control of the roof equipment;(8)Research on the longevity of airtight boxes;(9)Research and improve other factors affecting the maintenance cycle of the top equipment.
