Machine tools are the most basic equipment in the mechanical manufacturing industry.The spindle which meets the requirements of high-speed and precision machining can be said to be the most important part of machine tools.Its performance directly affects the accuracy,quality and efficiency of machine parts.Pneumatic spindle is a new type of structure driven by pressure gas and supported by gas,which drives the spindle to rotate at high speed.It has the advantages of high speed,cleanliness and low wear and tear.It is widely used in the processing of small parts.In this paper,the static and dynamic characteristics of spindle components are studied and optimized.The specific contents are as follows:(1)Computational fluid dynamics(CFD)FLUENT software is used to simulate the aerostatic bearing of the important structure of pneumatic spindle,and the pressure distribution nephogram is obtained.The flow field characteristics of the bearing film are studied by changing its parameters.The influence of eccentricity,average film thickness and rotational speed on the bearing capacity of aerostatic radial and thrust bearings under different supply pressure is obtained,which lays a foundation for the optimal design of aerostatic bearings.(2)The static characteristics of the spindle rotor are analyzed by workbench software,and the stress and deformation nephograms are obtained to satisfy the strength checking.Through the analysis of its dynamic characteristics,the vibration modes and natural frequencies of the spindle rotor in free and restrained modes,as well as the displacement response diagram of the spindle rotor in harmonic response analysis are obtained.It provides a basis for the following optimization.(3)According to the above analysis of static and dynamic characteristics,find the optimization link,optimize the structure of the spindle rotor,improve the static and dynamic characteristics of the spindle rotor.
