Linear polymers can be cross-linked to form three-dimensional polymers,which has better mechanical properties and thermal properties.In this paper,we discuss a new enhanced cross-linking agent to promote radiation cross-linking.Due to traditional enhanced cross-linking agent has the disadvantages of volatility,such as:easy decomposition at high temperature and volatile,making it impossible to play the role of cross-linking agent in the matrix material.The new type of enhanced radiation cross-linking agent based on polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane?POSS?was synthesized and characterized by IR and NMR.1.Choose polypropylene?PP?,which is the type of radiation crosslinked material,as matrix material,in order to explore the synthesis of a new type of reinforcement crosslinking effect of crosslinking agent.In order to compare the radiation effect,we choose two traditional strengthening crosslinking agent,which respectively is Trimethylolpropane triacrylate?TMPTA?,Triallyl isocyanurate?TAIC?.PP were blended respectively by twin screw extruder with the three kinds of crosslinking agent,then irradiated.Tensile test,thermogravimetric test and gel content analysis were performed on the materials before and after irradiation.After the analysis of the test results,the addition of T8POSS to the PP ontology can indeed enhance the performance of all aspects of PP.Moreover,the mechanical properties,thermal stability and gel content of T8POSS were optimized within the range of 1%?3% and the radiation dose was within the range of 0kGy?10kGy.2.Then the radiation cracking polyvinylidene fluoride?PVDF?was selected as the matrix material.Two kinds of strengthened crosslinkers with similar structure with POSS base were selected as comparison.PVDF was fused and blended with three kinds of strengthened crosslinkers by twin screw extruder,and then the mixed materials were irradiated.Tensile test,thermogravimetric test and gel content analysis were performed on the materials before and after irradiation.Finally,according to the test results,when the matrix material is PVDF,the mechanical properties,thermal stability and gel content of T8POSS are excellent when the percentage content of T8POSS is 5% and the radiation dose is 30kGy.
