The delivery medium of pipelines in the chemical industry park are generally dangerous chemicals,which are flammable,explosive and toxic.The leakage of these pipelines often causes critical accident with property loss,casualties and pollution.In this paper,a real-time leakage detection and location method of pipelines in the chemical industry park based on pressure and flow signal was proposed.This method can quickly detect and locate the leakage.The false alarm rate was decreased with the use of real-time multi-stages detection method.A transient simulation model of pipeline leakage was established by analyzing the transient flow of liquid pipeline in chemical industrial park.Base on this model,the changes of pressure and flow in both starting and end points of pipeline after leakage was calculated by MATLAB.The results were analyzed and the influence rules by leakage amount,diameter of pipeline,viscosity and flow rate was determined.Based on the analyze results,a real-time multi-stages detection method was proposed basing the model detection method.The application condition and the threshold calculate method of the proposed method are also given in this paper.By using wavelet analysis preprocess the pressure and flow signals a real-time leakage location model was proposed based on negative pressure wave location method.Finally,a real-time leakage detection and location software for liquid pipeline was built and validated by pressure and flow signals of a simulation pipeline.The result shows that the software can meet the requirements of real-time detection and location.
