The rock in deep formation has a high degree of hardness and abrasiveness. One of the key problems which the development of deep oil and gas resource faced with is how to improve rock-breaking efficiency in deep and ultra-deep well.Electrohydraulic plasma fragmentation method is a kind of new rock-breaking method which can convert electrical energy into mechanical energy efficiently. This paper research on the electrohydraulic plasma water shock wave propagation characteristics, electrical characteristics of high voltage pulsed discharge in liquid and indoor fragmentation experiments.Main achievement as follows. The paper research on electrohydraulic plasma water shock wave propagation characteristics based on LS-DYNA numerical simulation of underwater explosion. The relation between circuit parameters and RDX explosive charge peak, pressure of charge center and the water shock wave propagation rule under 400 ns rise time and 10?s pulse width charge condition have been achieved. The charge and discharge process loop characteristic of high pulsed power supply also have been studied.A type of high pulsed power supply has been designed for electrohydraulic plasma fragmentation technology, whose charging module is DC source with filter capacitor, energy storage module is Marx generator and pulse shaping module is magnetic switch.PSPICE numerical simulation result show this power can output pulse in nanoseconds, the magnet switch can impress the output pulse efficiently. An experimental system has been set up to research electrohydraulic plasma fragmentation technology, which is made of high voltage pulse supply, disintegration generator and measurement system. The effect of charge times and the distance between rock and charge center on rock-break have been achieved through experiments.
