The deep stratum rock has high hardness, strong abrasiveness and poor drillability. How to improve the rock breaking efficiency of deep wells and ultra-deep wells is one of the key issues for the efficient development of deep oil and gas resources.Liquid-phase discharge plasma rock breaking is a new type of high-efficiency rock breaking method that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In this paper, the research on the fabrication of rock-breaking reactor device, the numerical simulation of the parameters of rock-breaking effect and the laboratory experiment of liquid-discharge plasma rockbreaking are carried out.The main tasks completed are as follows:Based on the rock-breaking mechanism of liquid-phase discharge plasma,a rockbreaking reactor device was designed and fabricated for indoor liquid-phase discharge rock-breaking experiments.Through the device, the experimental research on the shape of the electrode, the distance between the electrode, the distance between the discharge center and the rock, and the liquid medium can be carried out.Using the particle field module in CST software, the effects of electrode shape, electrode spacing, liquid medium and other parameters affecting rock breaking on electric field strength, current density, energy density and distribution of trajectory of discharge particles were discussed, which laid a foundation for indoor rock breaking experiments. The laboratory experiment of liquid-discharge plasma-breaking rock was carried out,and the influence of parameters such as electrode shape, electrode spacing, discharge center and rock distance, liquid medium, discharge energy and discharge frequency on rock breaking effect was discussed. The experimental results show that the needle-needle electrode has better rock breaking effect;the shorter the electrode spacing, the closer the discharge center is to the rock, the greater the discharge energy, the better the liquid insulation property, and the more times of discharges, the better the rock breaking effect.
