Steam assisted gravity drainage(SAGD)is one of the most effective ways to mine heavy oil.In addition to the influence of operating parameters, the effect of reservoir heterogeneity on SAGD can not be ignored. In particular, the research on the effects of multiple sets of interlayers developed in the reservoir on the development stage of SAGD vapor cavity and the development effect is not thorough enough. This article focuses on multi-interlayer issues and focuses on the effect of multiple interlayers on the SAGD steam chamber characteristics and development effectiveness. In this paper, temperature field is regarded as the characteristic parameter, and the physical simulation and numerical simulation methods are applied synthetically to study the effect of multiple interlayers on SAGD steam distribution and development effects.Firstly, similarity criteria were used to calculate and filter out five similarity criteria.A SAGD vertical profile visual simulation experiment device was designed to realize simulation of SAGD steam chamber and development dynamics, and visual observation of remaining oil changes was possible.Secondly, relevant physical simulations were carried out on the influence of steam injection rate, different multi-interlayer distribution modes, and interlayer permeability on SAGD production. The experimental results show that: when SAGD production is affected by multiple interlayers, the development effect of steam injection at a variable speed is significantly better than that at constant speed;for different interlayer distribution patterns, only the influences near the steam injection well and the reservoir top interlayer are significant; In terms of interlayer permeability, the effect of the ultra-low permeability interlayer on SAGD steam chamber and development results is similar to non-permeable interlayers. Finally, using CMG to perform numerical experiments inversion, compared with the results of physical simulation, the two are highly consistent. The research results in this paper have guiding significance for the development of a multi-interlayer heavy oil reservoir developed with steam-assisted gravity drainage.
