With the large-scale and automation of petrochemical enterprises,the production process is often accompanied by VOCs(Volatile Organic Compounds)gas leakage,which has huge safety hazards;Traditional gas detection methods mainly rely on sensors for human judgment,and the detection results are inaccurate and inefficient.With the rising of optical gas imaging technology,gas imaging technology which is based on infrared thermal imaging has been broadly used for its merits of clear imaging,accurate positioning and relatively large detection range.Based on infrared optical gas imaging theory,the method of gas leakage detection is studied in this paper.The main thrust of this paper is as follows:(1)Binocular experiment platform is applied for binocular calibration.A depth-of-field distance matching algorithm is proposed for aligning infrared and visible light images.And image fusion evaluation mechanism is used for analyzing matching results,thus the real-time performance and accuracy of the algorithm are able to meet the demands of later detection.(2)Gas leak detection pretreatment:the processes such as image enhancement and denoising are performed on the collected infrared video sequence to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio of the infrared image;By background modeling and foreground image extraction,the information of stationary objects in the video sequence is eliminated.And part of the infrared characteristicis certained by using the feature of visual difference,removing most of the interferences by non-gas leakage region,which is advantageous for improving accuracy.(3)Via using infrared image information,the characteristics of leakage gas are analyzed in a comprehensive way.The leakage gas area and non-leakage gas interference area are differentiated clearly and accurately.And the leakage gas concentration can be qualitatively analyzed,ultimately the gas leakage detection algorithm can be achieved.By carrying out a large quantity of experiments,the proposed gas leakage detection algorithm which is based on infrared thermal image has features of high robustness and strong anti-jamming ability.It is able to local gas leakage area accurately and meet the needs of real-time detection in different conditions.
