As one of the most important energy sources in the world,LNG is increasingly favored because of it's a clean and environmentally friendly energy.With the rapid growth of global LNG production and trade volume,LNG carrier has also developed rapidly.Due to the special hazard of LNG and the high cost of LNG carrier,the navigation safety of LNG carrier has received extensive attention.For a long time,developed countries such as the United States and Japan,which are at the forefront of LNG trade and transportation,have set certain safety zone and implemented traffic control measures to ensure the safety of LNG carrier sailing in port.China has officially introduced the concept of moving safety zone of LNG carrier in the?Code for Design of Liquefied Natural Gas Port and Jetty?(JST-5-2016),requiring every port to set the size of the safety zone in combination with the port condition and surrounding environment.In order to ensure the navigation safety of LNG carrier sailing in port,according to the requirement of the regulation,the moving safety zone of LNG carrier has been installed in LNG terminals in China.Although the navigation safety of the LNG carrier is guaranteed,the safety zone is conservative and fixed,which affects the navigation efficiency of the port to some extent.The purpose of this paper is to combine the LNG carrier scale,speed,port navigation density,wind,flow and other factors to calculate the size of the moving safety zone of different scale LNG carriers at different speed,so that the setting of moving safety zone of LNG carrier and traffic organization are more flexible and efficient.In this paper,the AHP is used to identify and analyze the influencing factors of the moving safety zone of LNG carrier,and the weight of the influencing factors are calculated.And then,a comprehensive analysis and comparison of the follow-up theory model,the ship-stop distance model,the ship-to-ship hydrodynamic interference model,the navigation risk model,the pool fire hazard model and the steam cloud explosion model are carried out.And then,combining weight calculation results with the characteristics of each calculation model,the follow-up theory and the ship-stop distance model is selected as the calculation model of the longitudinal distance of the safety zone.The hydrodynamic interference model of the ship is selected as the lateral distance calculation model of the safety zone.The Xin'ao LNG Terminal is selected as the research object,and the size of the moving safety zone of the LNG carrier is calculated.The calculation results show that the range of moving safety zone of LNG carrier changes with the tonnage and speed of LNG carrier.The larger the tonnage of LNG carrier and the higher the speed,the larger the range of safety zone.The theoretical results are comprehensively analyzed and summarized.The reference range of moving safety zone of LNG carrier with different tonnages and different speeds is given,which makes the calculation result more convenient to guide the setting of the moving safety zone of the LNG carrier.
