Ethylene glycol(EG)is an important basic organic chemical raw material.Traditional ethylene glycol mainly comes from the petrochemical industry.In view of the increasing tension of domestic oil resources and the current situation of China's less oil and more coal,It is of great practical significance to develop coal ethylene glycol.In this paper,a systematic theoretical analysis of the properties of ethylene glycol prepared by hydrogenation of oxalate with coal as raw material is carried out.A series of catalysts for the hydrogenation of oxalate to ethylene glycol were prepared by sol-gel method and co-precipitation method,and the prepared catalysts were studied by means of experimental evaluation and spectroscopic characterization such as XRD and TPR.Performance analysis,It is concluded that the Sol gel method is more suitable for the preparation of copper-base ethylene glycol hydrogenation catalyst.The catalyst was modified by Zn and A1 metal elements.The experimental evaluation results show that Zn additive has better catalyst performance than Al additive,and the ethylene glycol yield increases first and then decreases with the increase of metal load,and the optimal metal load is 0.05%.Based on the catalyst prepared,the suitable process conditions for the hydrogenation of oxalate were studied,and the effects of pH,aging temperature,aging time,reaction temperature,pressure and airspeed,and hydrogen Ester ratio on the properties of catalyst were systematically investigated.The results show that the yield of ethylene glycol increases first and then decreases with the increase of the reaction temperature,and reaches the maximum at 210?.The final determined relatively suitable process conditions are:pH=6-8,aging temperature 40?,aging time 2h.By testing the process reaction conditions,the best reaction conditions are the reaction temperature of 210?,the reaction pressure of 2.5MPa,the AirSpeed of 1.0h-1,and the hydroester ratio of 80mol/mol.
