Tourmaline has the characteristics of piezoelectricity,pyroelectricity,spontaneous polarization,far infrared radiation and negative ion release,because it has a special structure.This makes it very widely used in the electronics industry,environmental protection,health care.However,due to the presence of hydroxyl groups on the surface of tourmaline,the surface is a hydrophilic surface,and the surface energy is high,This makes tourmaline very easy to agglomerate in polymers,which seriously affects the mechanical properties of tourmaline / polymer composites.The mechanical properties of the material make it poor in performance and difficult to be applied in production and life,and it is difficult to give full play to the functional characteristics of tourmaline.Therefore,tourmaline needs to be modified to improve its hydrophobicity,and prepare a polymer-based functional composite material containing tourmaline.In this paper,two different silane coupling agents KH-570 and KH-560 were used as surface modifiers to modify the surface of tourmaline.The polymerizable organically modified tourmaline was then copolymerized with polymerizable monomers to introduce tourmaline into the polymer.A functional polymer material containing tourmaline was prepared,and its structure,morphology and The performance was characterized.(1)Using silane coupling agent KH-570 to modify the surface of tourmaline,the experimental results show that the polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond was introduced to the surface of tourmaline to obtain polymerizable organic tourmaline.1.2mL modifier KH-570 reacts with 10 g tourmaline in 60 mL alcohol-water ratio of 1: 5 at 90 ? for 2 hours to obtain the best modification effect.The contact angle is 93 °,Showing excellent hydrophobic properties,and the surface modification did not affect the far infrared radiation and negative ion release properties of tourmaline.The modified tourmaline is copolymerized with vinyl acetate and styrene to prepare a vinyl acetate-styrene-modified tourmaline functional polymer solution,and the functional polymer solution is cast to form a film to obtain a tourmaline-containing Functional composite film,the tensile strength of the functional composite film can reach 3.34 MPa,elastic modulus up to 226 MPa.The release amount of negative ions increases with the addition of modified tourmaline,and the far-infrared emissivity of 0.96 is greater than that of unmodified tourmaline 0.92.The functional polymer solution is directly spun to prepare functional fibers containing tourmaline.The resulting fibers have good mechanical properties,and their tensile strength can reach 1.74 MPa,elastic modulus up to 52.8MPa.(2)Using silane coupling agent KH-560 to modify the surface of tourmaline,the active group epoxy group was introduced to the surface of tourmaline.After optimization of the conditions,1mL modifier KH-560 reacts with 10 g tourmaline in 60 mL alcohol-water ratio of 1: 5 at 80 ? for 2 hours to obtain the best modification effect,The contact angle is 21.3 °.Then,it was polymerized with bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin to prepare an epoxy resin-based functional composite material containing tourmaline.
