Fashion is not only a simple dress,but also a concept and a social symbol.The study of fashion would help to enhance the development of the cultural and creative industries as well as the brand competitiveness.Also,the premium capabilities of bands would be enhanced in the process of consumer transformation.The construction and evolution of the western fashion system provides a reference for the development of the fashion industry.Moreover,it would help modern fashion brands to break through the existing development model,realize innovative development,send out Chinese fashion voices on the international stage as early as possible and achieve self-confidence in fashion culture.Through literature collection and analysis,this article sorts out concepts such as "fashion","fashion system",and "fashion brand";through case studies,cross-contrast and other research methods,this article analyze French fashion in the context of the fashion system;By analyzing the typical fashion brand case Jacques Doucet fashion house operation method,this article inspires the operation and design practice activities of Chinese fashion brands.Combining theories of fashion scholars at home and abroad,we can find that:Fashion is a symbol of social phenomenon as well as social class,and a reflection of zeitgeist.In addition,the fashion system is a complex and orderly process from fashion production to consumption.The modern fashion system originated in France in the nineteenth century.According to the existing literature,this article traced the development history of the French High Fashion Association,high fashion designers,etc.Also,it is found that the French subsystem consists of the creative subsystem,production subsystem,consumer subsystem,guarantee subsystem,communication subsystem and evaluation subsystem.Moreover,the subsystems operates in an orderly manner and were closely related to each other.Jacques Doucet was one of the leaders in the development of haute couture in the late 19th and early 20th centuries,whose fashion house was a typical case in the French fashion system of the 19th century.Also,his design works reflected the zeitgeist of "Beauty Age" and Aesthetic taste.Through the analysis of the design style,operation mode and brand operation of Jacques Doucet Fashion House,it is found that the success of Doucet Fashion House was inseparable from the operation of the fashion system.Through the characteristics of the French fashion system and the development experience of the Jacques Doucet Fashion House,it is found that the importance of the fashion system,especially the fashion communication subsystem.Moreover,with the innovation of science and technology,revolutionary changes have taken place within the communication subsystem.In the nineteenth century,the communication subsystem was dominated by paper media.Fashion journalists and editors played an important role in promoting.Instead of Internet era,the communication subsystem was more diversified and the communication methods were more diverse.Taking the international designer brand TWOTTI as an example,this article analyze how fashion brands operate in the contemporary fashion system through design practice.Also,through the practice of self-media operation to explore the evolution and methods of contemporary fashion brand communication methods,to provide a reference for the design of Chinese fashion brand communication models.
