A Study On The Structure Design Of Bamboo Furniture

With the development of human society,our living environment is deteriorating day by day.Faced with scarcities of resources and the global warming effects,substitutes for wood are in great need to slow the degradation of wood resource.Bamboo,an eco-friendly material that is green,environmentally-friendly and ecological,can be massively exploited without causing catastrophic damage to the environment.Traditional bamboo furniture was once widely used in Chinese people's daily life,which has also fostered a set of bamboo culture with profound connotations and a long history of several thousand years.However,with the development of society and the improvement of people's living standards,traditional bamboo furniture can no longer meet the demands of modern life.Besides its basic functions,new requirements for bamboo furniture have emerged: it not only has to meet the modern aesthetic criterion in terms of shape,but also needs to adopt a more reasonable joining method and highly-recognized processing mode.Based on bamboo furniture,this study explorer is the fundamental problem to be solved for the development of the industry,that is the structure problem,which is also the basis and prerequisite of the production of bamboo furniture.By using methods of image collecting,literature review and system theory,this study analyzed bamboo furniture and its processing methods and structure in details,summarized the current situation and existing problems in bamboo furniture development,which can provide theoretical basis for the design of bamboo furniture.Based on the analysis of bamboo furniture and its structure,this study furthermore by collecting cases with more reasonable joining and processing methods and modern style,laid foundation for bamboo furniture design.With all the analysis above,this study provided with a successful combination design example of modern style,reasonable joining method and advanced processing mode.The conclusion of this study,on the one hand,can provide a theoretical reference for the structure design of bamboo furniture,and on the other hand,points out the main solutions for the development of bamboo furniture,which can help improve the current situation of lacking innovations.The final example in combination of traditional and modern structure can also be a supplement to the bamboo furniture market.
